You can go as far as you would like to go in North Central Bronx Hospital. Management styles are different and depending on how you handle, respect and welcome challenge it can be rewarding or debilitating. I would not recommend working in this hospital to no one. Management is horrible, they act like child minded, are in fair, and turn a blind eye to everything going on, so nothing changes to improve. Although I might say pcas work very well as a team when it is time to, even if they don’t get a long with each other. Patient were sweet, some very angry and ghetto minded since it is a culture with not much resources. I wish I could have had the chance to have a more permanent position in this hospital. My coworkers were amazing and it was the best internship I've had overall. When I worked in the hospital I was only an intern, but the environment helped me learn a lot about administrative work. The people I worked with was very supportive in helping me learn as much as possible in the time I was there. I'm grateful to have worked with such amazing people. Very disappointing , no support , old management triangle concept, lack of leadership and conviction from the top. No support for the director , absentee leadership , individuals running the hospital do not stand by the mission of the hospital or its directors. Typical day was spent on hours of conference calls and webinars ...difficult to get any work done ..of managers and resources for the department, director works alone essentially. When we have meetings, the employees are so loud and ghetto. Poor Management, one area is always busy but management never send help and the employees don’t listen to her. I work giving appointments for MRI and CT for the Radiology Department, the front desk is really busy, patients come for appointments or for their tests, I have to check patient's chart, assess the visit, give a wrist band and for the Non-invasive cardiology, make sure we have a cardiologist, a nuclear attending, therapist or ECHO tech to continue working with the inpatients or outpatients for Nuclear stress or non-radionuclide exercise stress test.
